With the coming of the new year I have set myself a month-long goal of organising, planning, redecorating and tidying in every nook and cranny of my life to make sure that my space (and mind) is clear and ready to tackle what’s ahead. The biggest area of focus for me is my desk space, I am typically known as having the messiest desk in the entire office so this year I’m focused on turning a new leaf and enforcing a tidier standard in my home office.

Last weekend I took a quick trip to Brisbane and I knew that the first stop I wanted to make  was the new Assembly store in James Street, Fortitude Valley. Assembly Label is designed in Sydney and their line is made up of simple, classic basics in neutral colours and quality fabrics. Taking inspiration from Sydney's coastal surrounds their line of curated staples embody an effortless contemporary style. Very laid-back, 'casual-cool'.

If you take one look on my Instagram at the moment you will notice that I'm particularly into layering foliage at the moment... Ok ok, I'll admit slightly obsessed.  I have mostly been experimenting with two different takes on this look and the best bit is this is probably the cheapest way of transforming an entire room in a flash. Forget spending big bucks on huge floral arrangements or ornaments, with a selective eye you can buy a small selection of unique foliage and even bulk it out with pieces picked from your own back yard.
